Excellent Story Mode and Shadow Pokémon capturing
This is a fantastic Pokémon game. It is much better than Pokémon Battle Revolution, for example, because of the Story Mode. In this mode, you can play a great story and capture Shadow Pokémon. You can also free them from their shadow at a certain point in the game. Pokémon Colosseum is a fantastic game, some others can't compare to it.

Also worth mentioning: If you have a Gameboy Advance Cable for the Gamecube and a Gameboy with Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald, you can transfer the Pokémon from Colosseum to those GBA games! The multiplayer is also worth it! It's a game that will keep you entertained for a long time. Good job!

Top RPG
Pokémon Colosseum, released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2003, is a unique addition to the Pokémon franchise. Unlike the traditional Pokémon games, Colosseum focuses on 3D battles in a 3D environment.

The story of Pokémon Colosseum is darker and more mature than that of other Pokémon games. The protagonist, Wes, starts off as a member of the criminal organization Team Snagem but has a change of heart and opposes their evil plans. The story unfolds as Wes tries to purify Shadow Pokémon, Pokémon corrupted by dark energy.

The core mechanics of the game revolve around capturing Shadow Pokémon from other trainers and purifying them through battles. The 3D battle system, a departure from the turn-based style of the main series, adds a refreshing twist. However, the game features a limited number of available Pokémon and no wild encounters, which may disappoint some fans.

Pokémon Colosseum showcases impressive graphics for its time, with detailed 3D models and animations. The environments are well-designed, and the battles are visually appealing. The music and sound effects contribute to the immersive atmosphere and enhance the overall gaming experience.

A unique feature of the game is the Colosseum battles, where players can participate in tournaments against other trainers. These battles offer a different challenge compared to the main story and provide opportunities for multiplayer engagement.

A downside is the limited exploration within the game. The focus is primarily on battles and the story, with fewer opportunities for free roaming or discovering hidden areas.

Upon its release, Pokémon Colosseum generally received positive reviews for its innovative approach to Pokémon gameplay. Fans appreciated the dark story, the 3D battles, and the overall uniqueness of the game. However, some criticized the limited selection of Pokémon and the absence of certain features found in the main series.

In summary, Pokémon Colosseum is a standout addition to the Pokémon series, with its 3D battles and mature storyline. While it may not appeal to all Pokémon fans, especially those who enjoy traditional RPG elements, it remains a remarkable and enjoyable spin-off for those seeking a different experience within the Pokémon universe.

Pokémon Colosseum: A Real Adventure with TV and GBA!
I really love Pokemon! Always have, hihi! And playing Pokemon on your TV makes it feel even more real. Pokemon Colosseum is a very fun game! You have to do a lot of things and you can catch a lot of Pokemon. AND... you can connect it to your GBA!! That's really cool! So, this game is definitely recommended if you enjoy a long journey and a great adventure.

Amazing storyline and unforgettable music
Pokémon Colosseum is absolutely fantastic. I've had it for 2 years already and I'm still not tired of it. The tunes stay stuck in your head forever, they are truly amazing. Moreover, the storyline is especially excellent and beautiful.

Discover the new world of Orre in Pokémon Colosseum
It's a wonderful game set in a beautiful world.
Your goal is to capture and cure the shadow Pokemon. It takes place in Orre, a completely new world, which adds to the excitement! There's so much more to explore!
There are stunning 3D attacks! However, it's a bit of a shame that it bears a strong resemblance to Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness. Nonetheless, it remains an enjoyable game with charming Pokemon!
It's also fun that you can link to the Game Boy Advance to trade Pokemon from your GameCube to your Game Boy! (Only with the games Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire.) It's also great when a friend says, for example, "You have cool Pokemon! I want to battle against your Pokemon on Pokemon Colosseum with my Ruby or Sapphire on my Game Boy," because you can do that with a link cable.
One downside, though: you won't encounter wild Pokemon. But your objective is, of course, to catch shadow Pokemon! The villains have done something terrible to the Pokemon!

Unique Pokemon Game with a Good Storyline, but No Wild Pokemon to Catch
Pokémon Colosseum is a beautiful game. It is the first Pokémon game in 2D. Your first Pokémon are Umbreon and Espeon. Pokémon Colosseum is a unique Pokémon game, very different from the regular Pokémon games.
Unfortunately, you can't catch wild Pokémon, which is a downside for me. Another downside is that the towns and battlefields look lifeless. However, it does have a good storyline.

Impressive visuals and story, but no wild Pokemon to catch
Pokémon Colosseum is a beautiful Pokémon game that showcases many attacks and movements beautifully. With the added element of a story, the game becomes even more enjoyable. However, there is one major downside, and that is the inability to catch wild Pokémon.

Beautiful story and relaxing moments, but lacks action and limited freedom of movement.
Graphically, Pokémon Colosseum is pretty decent, but if you prefer a game with some excitement and action, you won't find this game appealing at all. It involves more puzzle-solving and less creature-shooting. Additionally, your freedom of movement is limited. However, this is more than compensated for by the beautiful story and genuinely relaxing moments the game offers through a range of sounds and colors. I also appreciate that the main character has quite a good sense of style. It's a bit disappointing that you can catch so few Pokemons compared to other games. In my opinion, it's a mediocre game: it's okay, but I wouldn't lose sleep over missing out on it.

Fantastic music and a beautiful world full of Pokémon
This game is truly fantastic. The music is great, the world is very beautiful, and there are hundreds of Pokémon to catch. If you don't think Pokémon is cool to play and you're worried about people making fun of you, then at least play it secretly. It's still not like a real Pokémon RPG, but it's wonderful. Let's play.

Challenging Story Mode and Engaging Multiplayer
Pokémon Colosseum is a fun game. The story mode is not something you finish quickly, and the multiplayer never gets boring! It's also the first 3D Pokemon story, and they've done it well. It's just a shame that you can only trade Pokemon with the Game Boy after completing the story mode, and that takes quite a while.

Extensive 3D Pokémon Battles with RPG Elements
Pokémon Colosseum combines the RPG gameplay of the well-known Pokémon Gameboy (Advance) games with the epic 3D Pokémon Battles we remember from Pokémon Stadium (2) for the N64. The game is more extensive than Stadium due to the aforementioned RPG element, but since this is not as well-developed (limited possibilities etc... can't even catch Pokémon yourself), it's not a noteworthy '3D Remake' of the GBA Games. This game really relies on the Battles... both Singles and Doubles can be played, and all 300 or so Pokémon are present in the game. Some can be obtained in the game, while others you'll need to transfer from Ruby/Sapphire. The battles are perfectly executed and truly capture the Pokémon atmosphere... unfortunately, the battles quickly become dull due to repetitive animations and lack of speed... all in all, a decent first release of a Pokémon Game on the NGC.

18 tips: 15 Secrets - 2 Easter Eggs and Glitches - 1 Personal tip

Secrets:
Have you completed the game once you've caught all 48 Shadow Pokemon, including Togetic?
MarioCube
9 jaar
You haven't 'completed' it until you've defeated Metagross, Tyranitar, and the gang, that's what everyone thinks of course, but no. The real deal is catching all 48 Shadow Pokemon. Yup, Tyranitar isn't the final Shadow Pokemon. The ultimate Shadow Pokemon is Togetic. And you encounter it ALL the way at the end.
First, you go through the hassle of receiving an email, instructing you to watch the TV where the news is on. Then, I believe (it's been a long time since I played it), the news reports that you attacked the boy with the Castform using your Togetic. Next, head to Phenac City and talk to that boy. He'll ask: Did you attack me? It was my first time playing Pokemon Colosseum, and I accidentally pressed yes, which made everyone hate me. Well, not everyone because your friends in The Under believe you didn't do it, but I highly recommend all of you to carefully read through the whole thing with that Togetic, especially with the boy with the Castform!!!

Easter Eggs and Glitches:
How can I use a glitch to get unlimited Poké Balls in Pokémon Colosseum?
MarioCube
9 jaar
This glitch will only work if you have 2 Pokemon in Pokémon Colosseum. Any Pokeball will do, but preferably the Masterball.
Use the ball with one Pokemon. Then change the order of your Pokeballs in the menu. (Note: you must have multiple types of Pokeballs.) Lastly... do whatever you intended to do with your second Pokemon. You will still have the desired Pokeball after using it.

Secrets:
How can I get more Pokémon in Pokémon Colosseum?
MarioCube
9 jaar
In Pokémon Colosseum, you can obtain a total of 52 Pokémon. You can acquire even more Pokémon by trading a Nincada with a Gameboy Advance game. You must train this Nincada up to level 20 so it can evolve into both Ninjask and Shedinja. (This only works if you have less than 6 Pokémon in your party. If you have a full party, you will only get Ninjask) By splitting one Pokémon into two, you will now have a total of 53 Pokémon instead of 52. By repeating this process, you can collect a lot more Pokémon.
Read more tips and secrets.

Secrets:
Where can you find TIME FLUTES and how do they work in Pokémon Colosseum?
MarioCube
9 jaar
You should use the TIME FLUTES if you want to purify a Pokémon without having to train it. Please note: if you immediately purify a Pokémon with the Time Flute, your Pokémon will NOT receive the xp points it has earned during battles. However, if you have gained a lot more xp, 75% will be deducted.

Where can you find the TIME FLUTES?
-The first one you receive after defeating Cipher Peon Dakim, then you will receive it from Vander.
-The second one you get by making two men flee in The Under. Then, walk to the right until you have the U-disk, then go to the UFO and use the U-disk. You will find the Time Flute from Pokémon Colosseum there.
-The last one you get when you have reached Mountain th100. Then, walk to the right in the Entrance hall, and there you will find the final Time Flute.

Secrets:
How can you catch Entei, Raikou, and Suicune in Pokémon Colosseum?
MarioCube
9 jaar
Entei:
When you go to MT. Battle, you have to fight Cipher Admin Dokim at the top. He has an Entei as a shadow Pokémon from Pokémon Colosseum.
Raikou:
Fight against Cipher Admin Ean and catch him, just like Entei from Pokémon Colosseum.
Suicune:
Battle Cipher Admin Venus in The Under and catch her, similar to how you caught Entei and Suicune in Pokémon Colosseum.

Secrets:
How can I obtain Ho-Oh in Pokémon Colosseum?
MarioCube
9 jaar
To obtain Ho-Oh in Pokémon Colosseum, you need to purify all 48 Shadow Pokémon and defeat 100 trainers at Mt. Battle using only Pokémon from your Story Mode team. Once you have completed these tasks, you will be rewarded with Ho-Oh.

Secrets:
How can I catch Tyranitar in Pokémon Colosseum?
MarioCube
9 jaar
Tyranitar is the best Shadow Pokémon in the entire game Pokémon Colosseum. You only get one shot at catching it, so it's best to use a Master Ball. The leader of Cipher has this Pokémon.

Secrets:
Why doesn't Celebi appear in Colosseum?
MarioCube
9 jaar
In Colosseum, it always says that your Pokémon is saved by Celebi, that's correct! However, Celebi doesn't appear: Your Pokémon is surrounded by a green light first, then a purple one (the bad aura/dark aura) appears and is destroyed by the green light. You'll hear a cheerful short sound and your Pokémon is back to normal! Your Pokémon will then receive the points it missed out on and will learn a new move in place of Shadow Rush. If you have a Pokémon like Entei, Suicune, or Raikou (with the move Leer) and they have battled a lot, and you can teach them a new move, always replace Leer. Leer doesn't do anything, so it's useless! Have fun playing!

Secrets:
How can I activate a different title screen in Pokémon Colosseum?
MarioCube
9 jaar
If you feel like it's time for some variation on the start screen of Pokémon Colosseum, simply press B while you're in the menu. This will take you back to a different title screen, featuring different Pokémon.

Secrets:
How do I trade Pokémon between Colosseum and Ruby/Sapphire?
MarioCube
9 jaar
To trade Pokémon that you own in Colosseum with Ruby or Sapphire, and vice versa, you need to defeat the final boss in Realgam's Colosseum.

Secrets:
How do you change the Title Screen of Pokemon Colosseum?
MarioCube

To change the Title Screen of Pokémon Colosseum, follow these steps. Go to the title screen and press start. Once you reach the menu, press B.
Repeat this for different screens like the Title Screen.

Secrets:
Where can I find the Exp. Share in Eagun's house in Pokémon Colosseum?

Go to Eagun's house in Pokémon Colosseum. Descend the slope behind his house. There is a chest, and inside that chest is an Exp. Share. With this item, you can train multiple Pokémon at the same time.

Secrets:
How do I purify the hearts of Shadow Pokemon in Pokémon Colosseum?
MarioCube
9 jaar
If you have caught a Shadow Pokemon in Pokémon Colosseum, make sure to battle with it a lot.
You will see a narrow bar in battles and in the Summary.
After battling extensively with it, you will see that it is ready to be `rescued`.
Head to Agate Village, go down the stairs that start behind the Pokemon Center (if I'm not mistaken).
Enter the cave, follow the path, and you will come out.
You will need the Time Flute for this: as you walk a bit, you will see a pole.
Interact with it and choose the Shadow Pokemon that is ready to be rescued.
Now you will see your Pokemon sitting/standing somewhere.
Celebi will appear and restore your Pokemon with power.
After that, you can give it a name.

Easter Eggs and Glitches:
How do you find the Miracle B (easter egg) in Pokémon Colosseum?
MarioCube

After defeating Mirror B, you need to go to his underground hideout between the time you defeat him and the final boss. Here you will encounter a cipher imitating Mirror B, and during the battle, an accelerated Mirror B theme from Pokémon Colosseum will play.
