This tip is pretty funny, actually.
Head to VS. Mode and select any character, it doesn't matter who. But if you're playing against a CPU (computer), set it to level 9 in Super Smash Bros. Melee. Once you've made your selection, head to Hyrule Temple.
Fight until YOU have around 90% damage and head to the broken tunnel near the very bottom. The level 9 CPU will come to you on its own. You'll end up fighting in that spot for quite a while. And when both you and your opponent have over 150% damage, things get interesting! You'll be bouncing back and forth, which is sure to make you chuckle! It's also useful because it reduces the chances of getting knocked off the stage.

To unlock Mewtwo quickly in Super Smash Bros. Melee, there are various methods like playing for 20 hours or completing 700 vs. matches. But if you're not keen on waiting that long, I have 2 ways to speed up the process.
1. (1 controller) Head to vs. mode and select Melee. Choose Fox as your character and face off against a level 1 Ganondorf with you at handicap level 9. Next, go to settings and set the stock to 99. Also, adjust the damage rate from 1.0 to 0.5. Then, go to items and disable all items except food (make sure the computer runs away whenever it sees an item). Set the items to very high. Once you've done that, pick Hyrule Temple as the stage and position yourself in the middle. Turn off the TV, remove the controller, but keep the GameCube on. Go to sleep and check the next morning if you've been defeated or not. If you're defeated and haven't unlocked Mewtwo yet, repeat the process until you do.
2. (2 controllers) This is the simple way. Set the stock to 1 and disable all items. Choose a static stage like Pokémon Stadium. Remove both controllers, turn off the TV, but keep the GameCube running. After 20 hours, start playing again and defeat Player 1 with Player 2. Now, you'll have to battle Mewtwo.
